Comprehensive Guide to Rebar Processing Equipment

Oct 07, 2025

Classification and Functions of Rebar Processing Machinery and Equipment
Rebar processing involves multiple processes such as straightening, cutting, bending, and connecting. Commonly used equipment can be divided into the following five categories:

1. Rebar Straightening Machine: Used to correct the bending deformation of coiled rebar. The mainstream model is GT4-12 (straightening diameter 4-12mm), with an efficiency of 20-30 meters/minute (refer to GB/T 5223-2014 Steel Wire for Prestressed Concrete).

2. Rebar Cutting Machine:

Hydraulic: such as GQ40 (cutting diameter 40mm), error ±1mm;

Electric: Portable type suitable for small diameter rebar, such as GQ20 (cutting diameter 20mm).

3. Rebar Bending Machine: GW50 (bending diameter 50mm) standard configuration includes 12 sets of bushings, capable of 180° bending with an accuracy of ±2° (according to JG/T 5083-2016 Rebar Bending Machine).

4. Rebar Welding Equipment:

Flash Butt Welder: UN-100 (welding section 1000mm²);

Arc Welder: BX1-500 (rated current 500A), suitable for on-site operations.

5. Auxiliary Equipment: Including thread rolling machines (such as HGS-40 processing diameter 40mm), rebar cage forming machines, etc.

Trends in New Automated Equipment In recent years, intelligent equipment has rapidly become widespread, for example:

CNC rebar bending center: using PLC control, such as Strippit P2000, which can store 200 sets of programs, bending accuracy ±0.5°, and efficiency 300% higher than traditional equipment;

Rebar robotic welding workstation: FANUC ARC Mate 120iD repeatability ±0.05mm, suitable for large-scale precast component production.

Selection Criteria and Maintenance Recommendations

1. Matching Needs: Select the equipment model based on the rebar diameter (6-50mm) and daily output (1-50 tons);

2. Energy Consumption Comparison: The hydraulic cutter has a power of 7.5kW, while the electric type is only 3kW, suitable for sites with limited power;

3. Maintenance Cycle: Change the lubricating oil every 500 hours; the blade life is approximately 80,000 cuts.
