Concrete Poured Line Standards

Oct 11, 2025

Road markings are an important component of road traffic planning, guiding vehicle direction, indicating driving safety, and reducing traffic accidents. Concrete road markings refer to markings on concrete pavements, and their form, color, size, and spacing must comply with national standards and specifications. This article will provide a detailed introduction to concrete road marking standards from the aspects of design, construction, and maintenance.

Design Standards for Concrete Road Markings

1. Marking Colors
The colors of concrete road markings should conform to national standards, typically white, yellow, red, blue, and green. White is used for center lines of carriageways, curb lines, parking space lines, pedestrian crossings, etc.; yellow is used for no-overtaking lines, center lines of intersections, bus lanes, etc.; red is used for no-parking lines, no-entry markings, etc.; blue is used for directional markings, information markings, etc.; and green is used for non-motorized vehicle lane markings, etc.

2. Road Marking Types
Concrete road markings should conform to national standards and typically include solid lines, dashed lines, one-way arrows, two-way arrows, and zebra crossings. Solid lines are used for lane center lines and curb lines; dashed lines are used for no-overtaking lines and intersection center lines; one-way arrows indicate one-way traffic; two-way arrows indicate two-way traffic; and zebra crossings are used for pedestrian crossings.

3. Road Marking Dimensions
Concrete road marking dimensions should conform to national standards, typically including line width, line spacing, and arrow length. Line widths are typically 10cm, 15cm, or 20cm; line spacing is typically 5cm, 10cm, or 15cm; and arrow lengths are typically 60cm, 80cm, or 100cm.

4. Road Marking Spacing
Concrete road marking spacing should conform to national standards, typically including the spacing between markings and the distance between markings and traffic facilities. The spacing between road markings is usually 5m, 10m, 15m, etc.; the distance between road markings and traffic facilities is usually 1m, 2m, 3m, etc.
